My 4th pattern, The Amiable Quilt, was released in January… and I never did a post for it. I tried something a little different this time and came up with a new block and this pattern has no sashing!!
I am a lover of all quilts with pinwheels, but I didn’t just want to make a pinwheel block… so I made the corners of the block make a pinwheel instead! And the way these blocks fit together also created the easiest color transition I have ever put together.

I had never really worked with half-rectangle triangles before, so this also allowed me to find the easiest way to make those in large quantities as well. I found that I liked making them 2-at-a-time best and didn’t want anyone to have to go buy another specialty ruler. So, the bonus for you is that you can be assured that I included that in the pattern!
Of course, I made a baby version as well, and included some variations in the pattern that you could use to personalize it to your liking.

This is probably my favorite pattern to date… I am really enjoying this new path on my quilting journey, and I hope you are as well. I would love to hear what you think!
