When my oldest son was about 6 months old, I stayed with my grandma for about 5 months. She was always working on a quilt, and I got curious and asked if she could teach me how to quilt. I started simple, with patterns like rail fence and log cabins. I think I made 3 or 4 small quilts in that time. Now, after quilting for nearly 20 years, and many, many more quilts made, I have decided to take the next step on my journey and start designing patterns. I have a little bit more time to do this now that my kids are a bit older! I have always loved the look of scrappy quilts, so my patterns will be written with that in mind. Of course, you can make them anyway you like, I just like to make them scrappy!
